Emily lives in London and was a victim of rape after being drugged by a man she did not know, in 2015. Emily faced hurdles in getting justice from the moment she awoke to this nightmare but chose to face this ordeal head on and didn’t stop until there was resolution - but more than one unexpected turn in the case continued to derail her best efforts. Though Emily has been diagnosed with PTSD and has had her life turned upside down, a rather exciting breakthrough occurred just recently which has given Emily an entirely new platform and way to improve the system for other victims and survivors of rape in the UK.
