On the evening of May 24, 2020, 52-year-old Emily Noble was out celebrating her birthday with her husband. They stopped at several restaurants in a popular part of Westerville, Ohio, and then made their way home for the evening. During the night, Emily’s husband got up to use the restroom and then went back to sleep in a guest room, not wanting to disturb Emily. When he woke up later that morning, Emily was gone, and her wallet, phone, keys, and car were still at the residence. Emily has not been seen since the evening she went out for her birthday, and rumors and allegations have swirled around this story from day one.Last week, human remains were found in a wooded area not far from Emily's condo. At this time, those remains have not been identified.On September 22, 2020, the Westerville Police Department held a press conference about the remains recovered last week. They said that the dental comparison was "consistent" with Emily Noble's dental records but that they are going to do DNA test to be sure. The DNA comparison could take some time. The autopsy is not complete, there is no news on a cause or manner of death. They also mentioned that the area was searched by authorities multiple times, at least one time with cadaver dogs. Emily's family has been notified and Matt was notified via his attorney.
