Welcome back to Big Little Books! In this episode: Why is it important to diversify your bookshelf? Diversity is good for everyone. Reading books that present different abilities, cultures, beliefs, and skin colour can help change your perspective and explore new experiences. Books can be a good steppingstone if you want to self-educate but do not know where the conversation should start. This episode starts with a brief discussion about Canada Reads 2020, and the recently announced winner. We dig into books that spark discussions about race and social injustice.
