Race Haven - Solutions Focused Dialogue About Race In America

News & Politics

All across social media African American people (and other ethnic and social minority groups) are expressing fears and concerns about Donald Trump's presidency. Many of them say that Trump has chosen “known white supremacists” for cabinet positions and that these choices along with his campaign rhetoric has emboldened extremist white supremacist groups and individuals. Many Trump supporters, including Race Haven co-host John Costino, reject this line of thinking and believe that the media is responsible for promoting these fear based storylines. So should African American's be fearful for their wellbeing in this current social political climate? Guests LaNee Javet & Montoya Smith join Scott Speed and co-host John Costino for Episode 24 of the Race Haven Podcast to share their perspectives on this question and more! Listen now to hear their perspectives on this topic and to see what happens when people who disagree engage in thoughtful authentic discourse. Welcome to the Dialogue!
