“Gravity wants to bring me down.” In Episode 27, Kiara and Farrah are truly waiting on the world to change as they reconvene virtually via Zoom to share their thoughts on the GRAMMY-winning album, Continuum (2006) by John Mayer. With fittingly-named John Collins cocktails in hand, the pair experiences their own gamut of emotion while trying to keep up with the sad hopefulness of the “bad boy of Connecticut” himself; lamenting over the state of the world in 2020, the fear of getting older, and good ol’ fashioned heartbreak. There really is no stopping this train once we take a deep dive into this record, as the two also discuss the plights of living dangerously, how much they admire Gen-Z, Mayer’s spearheading of the male sensitivity movement in music, and most importantly - how the album really struck a chord with them in this landmark year of change and uncertainty.
