Bet You Wish This Was An Art Podcast

Arts

In the spirit of Duchamp, we here at BYWAP are here to stand behind a simple truth: we don’t believe in art. We believe in artists! The horrors of War and Economic strife brought us Dada, and Dada gave us weird contemporary art that requires an arts history degree to decipher. Nothing is perfect, all systems are flawed, but we’ve got all these Ready-Mades ready for mass distribution and we hope you’re ready for the CHAOS.  Find out the crazy sh*t that Duchamp came up with to promote as art, criticize the nature of 20th century politics and art styles, contextualize the development of Dadaism (and its subsequent decline), and be glad that we live in a time where we don’t have to watch the news argue over if a urinal is considered Art or not. Things have changed, but we're changing with it. Donate. Sign petitions. Support Black-owned businesses. Educate yourselves. Listen. Speak. Repatriate. Stay Safe. Don't Touch Your Face. We want to hear from you, to share this time with you. We're in this together, and we're better together. Please leave us a review wherever you listen to podcasts. Every little bit helps as we grow, and we cannot wait to talk to you all again. This is global.  Your voice matters. Systemic change is possible. It will not happen overnight—so keep fighting! We stand with you. Our music was written and recorded by Elene Kadagidze. Our cover art was designed by Lindsey Anton-Wood.
