If your market is too expensive, look elsewhere. There are markets throughout the states that are less expensive than your market. Do your research and get a mentor. Make sure you have boots on the ground, a good contractor and handyman If you want to be a developer, immersing yourself in the community is important. Get to know politicians, community associations and the Economic Development Department. It's also important to attend city council meetings. Tips for newbies-If you wholesale, use your own contracts. If you want to rehab, become a contractor, you'll have more control.
