Samhain, celebrated October 31 to November 1st, is an ancient Celtic festival to welcome in the harvest, and to usher in the dark half of the year. It is seen as a time to wrap up the old and prepare for the new in our lives. It is also seen as a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is at its thinnest, allowing you to communicate and honor loved ones that have passed. October 31st became known as Halloween, but many of the traditions of trick or treating, dressing up in costumes, and pranks all have origins in Samhain.High Priestess Rona Lee (last heard on Ep 48: The Haunting of Rona Lee) joins us to discuss the history of Samhain, and some of the ceremonies and traditions that others perform during this time. She also brings with her some of the EVP's that she has recorded during past Samhain celebrations, as well as performs a tarot card reading on both Nash and Mark.
