Good morning theater fans! This is Caryn Robbins with The Broadway Scoop for Tuesday, February 25th.Broadway grosses are in for the week ending February 23rd and the new musical SIX hit the ground running in its first full week of performances, earning over $1 million, making over 95 percent of its gross potential and bringing Standing Room Only seating status to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Enjoying the top spots on the chart once again were Broadway blockbusters MOULIN ROUGE!, THE LION KING and HAMILTON. Complete casting has been announced for New York Theatre Workshop's upcoming adaptation of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS. Joining the previously announced Academy Award nominee Greta Gerwig and Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac will be Obie Award winner Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Steve  Buscemi and The Mindy Project's Chris Messina. Preview performances for the production are set to begin on May 13.And preview performances get underway tonight at the Cort Theatre for the Broadway premiere of Tracy Letts' THE MINUTES. A 2018 Pulitzer Prize finalist, THE MINUTES made its world premiere at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre and stars the Tony Award-winning playwright alongside Tony winners Jessie Mueller and Blair Brown, and Tony nominees Armie Hammer, K. Todd Freeman and Austin Pendleton. The 16-week limited engagement officially opens on March 15. And that's The Broadway Scoop for Tuesday, February 25th.
