Ezekiel 18:1-4, 25-32; James 1:22-25; Matthew 7:24-28 Why does the world around us and the life we live not look anything like the reality Jesus talked about? Why is there no significant difference between the lives of those who call themselves Christians and the rest of the world? What kind of witness can we be in this world if we simply look the same as everyone else? Isn’t it time to change people’s perceptions about the followers of Jesus Christ? We can do this by taking the words of Jesus and actually putting them into practice. This Lent we will be considering the five primary calls Jesus’ placed on His followers: Being; Forgiving; Serving; Giving, Going. We will not only consider what Jesus said, but what it looks like to put His words into practice.
