Miscellaneous

DC’s Mike James and Mollie Ames discuss: All terrestrial segments were recorded live on June 26th (Day 178 of 2020), and all podcast segments were recorded live on June 28th (Day 180 of 2020) Former Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Steve Loomis continues to be a glaring example of everything that's wrong with the police and this nation as a whole. (Part 1 of 3 of the Podcast only content) Living in America (The Embarrassing), and wishing it wasn't already too late to move to Canada or Europe. Baseball is somehow thinking it's going to get started again here soon, even though every stitch of common sense says it's a really bad idea that's most likely to go sideways than crown a World Series Champion. We cover the game's rule changes that will render it largely unrecognizable, and talk about the inevitable doom this is all leading to, a player strike and the potential for no baseball at all in 2021. Remembering 1994, and the last time there was a baseball strike.  Tik-Tok has been active lately, and there's a whole lot of good and bad to sift through in its activity. (Part 2 of 3 of the Podcast only content, begins around the 1:14:00 mark) Lachlan MacKinnon’s ‘Best of Edition’ Let Me Tell You A Story: “The Three Hard No's” (begins around the 1:41:00 mark) The three options left for Cleveland and Frankie Lindor, and sadly none of which is the option of paying him what he's worth to stay here. NASCAR (pronounced "Nass-Kerr") had to literally defend why it investigated the noose found in its lone full-time African-American's racing stall... Yeah, NASCAR's racism runs through its very core. Speaking of racism in the south and racing cars, wait till you hear about what the merchandise a track in North Carolina was selling this last week. Native Americans are calling on NFL players who play for Washington to be heroes, and insist their team's racist name be changed or they won't play. What's the first thing you think of when you hear the name "The Masters"? Cleveland Scene took our advice and removed their comments section, and to no one's surprise the idiots who are the reason why they removed the comments in the first place are all up in arms about it (and making about as much sense as ever in their complaint).  Mollie's Weekly Reports: We maybe only hate Guy Fieri because of how stupid he looks (which is enough), but the petition to change the city name of Columbus to "Flavor Country" is beyond even Guy's purposeful over-the-top show of stupidity, and Tina Fey does what's right and she did it for all the right reasons, (Part 3 of 3 of the Podcast only content, begins around the 2:43:00 mark) The number one movie in the country is Jurassic Park (again), watching it (again) and loving it (again), but also realizing it's been over 2 decades since Steven Spielberg has directed a great movie. And he's put out a lot of films over that time, it's not for lack of trying. Mollie’s Weekly Reports, terrestrial edition! – Mollie's newest segment " Mollie's Life Experiences" and realizing just how much crap people put on their food, and what are we going to do with all these peanuts in a shell? All this and so much more on this episode of the Defend Cleveland Podcast. Enjoy~ To contribute to this 100% listener supported show please go to our Patreon page by clicking here.
