Diane Haynes is the author of the Jane Ray Wildlife Rescue series for young adults. The first book in the series deals with saving wildlife after an oil spill - and we had the chance to talk with her about what inspired this story. As with all our podcasts, we wound up talking about far more than just oil spills and current events. Diane is as witty as she is intelligent, and it shines both in her personality and her writing.
