Super Cyto Girl Talk Show

Education

Happy Season One Finale! Episode 14 marks the season finale of the Super Cyto Girl Podcast. I have learned so much thus far. So many things I can't wait to incorporate for season two! In today's episode, I gave some brief thoughts about my feelings about the #GeorgeFloyd murder. It's been a rough week for so many. So many people are hurting. I am wrapping each of you in my virtual hugs and prayers. On another note, I do have some GREAT personal news...I'm moving! Listen to the episode to find out where...One hint...It's outside of Tennessee! I also talk about my awesome realtor Ivana Johnson. She's super dope and super sweet. She's made every portion of this moving process a breeze. You can find her on Instagram @uheartelyshia and @ivanatherealtor. "Staying ready so you won't have to get ready." A principle I learned from @FierceFearlessFree. She has tons of resources for personal development and women's empowerment available. Be sure to check both of my sisters in success. In this episode, I also talk about a holiday that was celebrated last week on May 28th-World Menstruation Hygiene Day. This holiday is celebrated in an effort to create a society that sees menstruation is healthy and normal. You can follow #periodproblems on IG to learn more. Last but not least, I interviewed Dr. Kirsten McKnight, Optometric Physician and Clinic Manager at Church Health in Memphis, TN. I invited her on to talk about Healthy Vision Month. We chatted about how disease processes show up in the eyes and how this should obviously highlight the need to get regular eye exams. We talked about how important it is to take care of the body overall to prevent systemic issues that show up in the eye. My favorite part of the episode is a quote by Dr. McKnight. "My biggest wish for Healthy Vision Month is that people prioritize their systemic health and then follow up with well vision exams." This has been a great season. I hope you have enjoyed!!!
