A 4-part series on TikTok from user Samantha Hartsoe went viral when she discovered a hidden apartment behind the mirror in her bathroom in New York City. This creepy video brought correlation to the supernatural movie Candyman which was very loosely based on the murder of Ruthie McCoy. Her case did not get much media attention and exposed how people in poverty and drug addicts are treated in Chicago. Her case is still unresolved and should have attention like any other case.
