Tahirah Amatul-Wadud knew that something was wrong in her community. As a civil rights and family lawyer, as a volunteer commissioner for the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. she saw that public policy - and the long-time elected representative - was not serving the constituents in the region. She decided to run for US Congress in the First Massachusetts District. because she knew she could make a difference. And she has spent every day in the last eight months listening and talking to voters throughout the 70-plus towns of her giant district.
