Bark Avenue Foundation Christie Schilling Today we bring you Christie Schilling from Bark Avenue Foundation located in Los Angeles, California. This nonprofit empowers pet owners and local communities to reduce abandoned animal populations through spay and neuter, pet retention and reclamation, and education. Bark Avenue is focusing on preventing as many animals as possible entering shelters through diligent work, youth education and free programs for those who lack the resources. Bark Avenue Foundation helps combat the animal crisis by hosting mobile vet providers to go to low income and underserved communities who don’t have the resources needed. By offering spay and neuter services, pet food/supplies, medical care, and ESA (Emotional Support Animal) assessments, it helps prevent pets from being born on the street, overpopulation, and pets dying on the street. Bark Avenue Foundation also works with the homeless and is educating the youth and general public on the significance of lifetime commitment, adopting animals who match your lifestyle, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Bark Avenue Foundation’s website lists their upcoming free events and programs that you can get involved with. They invite you to talk proudly about your adopted pets,  spread the word and get involved in your local community! How can you help?
