Cleveland starter Trevor Bauer recently implied on Twitter that Astros pitchers might be utilizing pine tar or other such substances to increase their spin rates. Whatever the cause, Houston's newest additions have, objectively, showed improvement in this area. The Toronto Blue Jays are close by, though. FanGraphs' Travis Sawchik has all or most of the answers.
