Greetings everyone! On this episode we make a triumphant return to reviewing comics in the way of: TMNT/Savage Dragon Crossover #1 Savage Dragon #22 TMNT/Savage Dragon Playmates Toys Mini Comic TMNT/Creed #1. Crossovers are nothing new to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They are a rare property that seems to blend seamlessly within any environment you introduce them to. However, the Savage Dragon universe is no stranger to the TMNT. They first met back in 1993 when they came together to fight Virago and some gargoyles in Savage Dragon #2 and TMNT/Savage Dragon Crossover #1 (1993). Now, 2 years later, the TMNT find themselves in the Windy City of Chicago yet again for another tag team fight with Officer Dragon. This time its an antagonist from the TMNT's universe known as Complete Carnage! We then jump to the year 1996 and review a TMNT/Savage Dragon Mini Comic that was packed in with the Playmates TMNT and Savage Dragon toy lines. The looks of the TMNT in this comic are based on the toys that are themselves based on designs from Jim Lee. Another thing that the TMNT are no stranger to is the comic book trope that any time heroes from different worlds meet, they absolutely must fight before they can team up, and this comic is essentially that scenario. Finally, we take a look at the TMNT's team up with a character named Mark from a book called CREED. One of the things I loved about the TMNT in this era is that when they teamed up with other more obscure indy characters, you could almost feel the excitement jumping from the page. This is definitely evident here in this issue of TMNT/CREED. Trent Kaniuga's take on the Turtles is pure Mirage goodness that left us wanting more! What property would you love to see the TMNT crossover with? Is there any property that you think absolutely wouldn't work as a TMNT crossover? Did you ever own a waterbed or have any waterbed related stories?
