The Wildlife Photography Podcast

Education

I would love your input and hear your thoughts on this one! What is it about your own wildlife photography or the wildlife photographic industry that frustrates you? Do you struggle with settings? Do you struggle with creativity? Or vision? Where to start when getting to a sighting? The times you feel you just can’t make a decent image? Do animals sometimes frustrate you? Other photographers on the vehicle? What about traveling with camera gear? Or the way people process images? What about egos in the industry? Or the way ‘pros’ try to hide their secrets? The way some people use sensationalism to try and get attention? I’d love to do a podcast on the back of this and for us to engage in an open and honest conversation about our craft and the world around it - both online and in the real world. I look forward to hearing YOUR frustrations and if you know of a photographer who has, in the past, been frustrated at some point during their wildlife photography journey please tag them as well! Look forward to discussing this with you all! * * * My name is Gerry van der Walt and I am an international expedition and tour leader, photographic educator, public speaker, co-founder of Wild Eye and nature and travel photographer. Through Wild Eye I have created a vehicle which merges the raw beauty of traveling in some of the worlds most spectacular wilderness areas with the ability to not only capture these moments on camera but also teaching and inspiring people along the way. I look forward to changing the way you see the world! * * * Links and Social Media: Wild Eye: www.wild-eye.co.za/ Website: www.gerryvanderwalt.com/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/gerryvdwalt/ Instagram: www.instagram.com/gerryvanderwalt/ Snapchat: www.snapchat.com/add/gerryvanderwalt/ Twitter: www.twitter.com/gerryvanderwalt/ YouTube: bit.ly/GerrysYouTube
