Episode 3: Our Best Personal Development Strategies We hope you enjoyed the third episode of the Back To Business podcast! This week we talk about our best personal development strategies that can help you to achieve your goals. These are the tips we have found the most helpful over the year to help you implement business ideas and thrive in the long-term. We mention a book in the podcast this week called Miracle Morning, you can find this here on Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/yzk89wf7 The 8 personal development strategies we recommended in this show are: Focusing your mind: having discipline and accountability towards achieving your aim Finding A "Why": identifying your reason for achieving that goal - this needs to be strong to withstand any objection you may have on the days where achieving your goal are tougher or you're faced against setbacks. Writing down goals: Writing down what you want to achieve - this can be something today, in a week, a month or 10 years from now. We recommend writing 4 short, medium and long-term goals on a daily basis. Don't do dumb shit: i.e. don't self sabotage. If you know you want to do a specific thing that is going to get you closer to your goal on any given day, make sure you don't do something that's going to affect your ability to do it perhaps the night before or the morning of. Reflection: Continuously reflect on things you've done and identify how you could improve it. Positive, healthy mindset: We discuss Joe Dispenza and the study identifying colours your brain glows. Would you want to glow a dark colour, or a bright yellow? Affirmations: We recommended the book called Miracle Morning, the Amazon link can be found above. Execute what you learn: It's important to read your personal development books to give you fresh ideas and get you motivated, but execute what you learn and identify how you can use what you've learned to get you closer to your goal. These actions don't need to be perfect, they just have to exist - you can reflect and adapt it later.
