On this episode of the Boxed In podcast Garrity got the opportunity to sit down and talk with Chris Cugliari.  Both alumni of Notre Dame Boxing, Chris and Garrity start with briefly going back to their time in Bangladesh, the club, and Bengal Bouts mission.  Chris was in town for amateur boxing event where he was out promoting the USA Boxing Alumni Association.  The two discuss the two year old association, it's purpose, and progress.  In addition to being a founding organizer and integral part of the USA Boxing Alumni Association, Chris spends his time coaching Team DNA, a youth boxing program in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also the founder of Gloves Not Guns, an organization dedicated to using boxing as a tool to combat gun violence by connecting the growing fitness boxing community with nonprofit gyms in high crime areas. He says his competition days are behind him (never say never), but back in his day he was a Bengal Bouts Champ, 2 year captain and president of Notre Dame's boxing program, and spent his post grad years competing in Chicago.    For more information about Gloves Not Guns visit  www.glovesnotguns.org and for info on the USA Boxing Alumni Association https://www.teamusa.org/usa-boxing/alumni   Chris is Instagram @chriscugliari
