Christina joins the show – she is excited to report she is 30 days into her sobriety. However, she wants to know how to find the courage to ask for help and ways she can practice being more patient on the journey. When we have feelings of being a burden, there is a part of us that has low self-worth. Christina has recognized the importance of having fewer but more significant relationships. Rachel spots a thin layer of codependency and people-pleasing in Christina. Life isn’t perfect, so Christina knows she doesn’t need to be perfect. People-pleasing is exhausting, and we need to recognize that it comes from the little ones inside of us. During a time of recovery, it is essential to feel the feelings. Then, Rachel tells a story about a mom yelling at her crying child. It is healthy to cry, and everything will pass. Most people need to carve out time in their day to feel our feelings during meditation, journaling, or breathing. Even doing one of these practices for ten minutes each day will change our mindset and ultimately, our journey. Stay tuned to hear Rachel describe ways to navigate self-pity and how to tap into our feminine energy.
