Episode 42 John Huet
One of the most acclaimed sports Photographers of our age. Welcome back to Part 2 of this fantastic episode with John Huet. Remember folks, this is a fantastic 2 part episode, so if you haven't already listened to Part 1, head on over there now to tune in to that one first, there's some great content in there. Welcome to Episode 42, first off we dive straight into the "Rapid Fire not so Rapid Fire' Round, which for some reason always seems to stump our guests for quick answers.... John is no exception but certainly has some very funny answers. As a recap, today we’re going to talk with John Huet, one of the most acclaimed Sports & Action photographers of our age whose career has spanned over 30 years.  Not one to be easily categorised, despite his reputation as one of the top sports photographers working today, John’s list of clients runs the gamut: Adidas, Bank of America, the Boston Ballet, Coca-Cola, Gillette, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Putnam Investments, Sports Illustrated, Time Magazine, and the U.S. Marines, to list just a few.. He’s published several books of his Olympic photographs, as well as a book of personal work called Soul of the Game. In this episode, we continue to talk about the business, how to do it, what’s changed, and what it takes to have a 30 year long career, oh yeah and we’re also going to try and figure out what makes John’s photographic mind tick... We take a look at the kit John uses and takes with him, why he uses so many cameras and we're interested in why he's not locked down to any specific brand and why variety helps him remain creative. If having your own exhibition interests you one day, John shares with us why he does them, what the benefits are and how to go about them. John also shares a very funny story about an 'all expenses' paid Nike shoot in Russia back in the day as the country was breaking up, life as a photographer is certainly not all about the glamour. To know what I mean you have to listen to this story. It certainly has its funny moments... Remember, when shooting aeroplanes flying tow to the ground, make sure your head is well clear of the propellers going when the plane is going over you! John has some great insights and takeaways in this double episode, he shares some great info with us from his vast experience over the years. Such a lovely person to speak with and we could of kept talking for hours for sure. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing you in the next one.  Web:http://www.johnhuet.com Instagram: @johnhuet Twitter: redcatpro Linkedin: John Huet Don’t forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE & SHARE.
