We hope you enjoyed the fifth episode of the Back To Business podcast! This week we discussed how to live and work together when you’re spending 24/7 with your significant other. In today’s episode, we cover: The benefits of working and living together, you’re spending all of your time with the person you love, so you have to resolve your differences when they arise. Often if differences arise with business partners or partners when you don’t work with them, it can be the case that you talk through your disagreement with someone other than who is involved - which can perpetuate the problem. The book How To Build An Empire will help with resolving disputes and supporting your partner, so you’re in it together. Not arguing over small things - the book Clarity would help here. You need to be able to give and take criticism, but then be able to move on and not hold a grudge as you’re both working towards a better self, family and business. If one of you is lacking in energy or down, getting them to write their goals down can help just refocus on why you’re doing what you’re doing, as well as what’s important to you. Relearning how to switch emotions quickly. Often you will see children changing their emotions from one minute to the next, this is un-learned as we grow older, think about our problems more and hold a grudge It’s 100% normal to argue, but not to spend numerous days on the argument. Use personal development books to help with taking accountability and responsibility in disagreements. We discussed two books that would be helpful, you can find them here on Amazon: Clarity: Clear Mind, Better Performance, Bigger Results by Jamie Smart https://tinyurl.com/qv52zq2 How To Build An Empire by Elena Cardone https://tinyurl.com/v2fch9o Back To Business is a podcast documenting our own navigation through the business world, and where we have come from as a team.
