What are you speaking over yourself today? That is a very important mindset to have every single day, the methods that we use every single day to get ourselves motivated, and to remember who we are in our identity, in Christ, whether you're a believer or not, is what you believe about yourself. Because as Christians, pastors, leaders, whatever, right, you have your belief in God, but then there's beliefs that you have about yourself, and so that's where it's imperative to remind yourself what you are speaking over yourself every single day. Now, what does that mean, “to be speaking it over you?”And I'm not talking about some fluffy statement, like, “I'm going to be a multi-billionaire in two days.” That’s just way out of reach! What I want to address today, is the identity that we have in Christ Jesus.I am a coach that is able to help you find your freedom in Christ, in order to understand who, you are and your identity! Reach out to me if you would like to have a complementary session, and I'll get back to you. You just may need someone to help you to understand what your identity is. You may say to yourself at times, "what's my identity? I go to church, I'm reading the Bible, I'm quoting Scripture, I'm doing the right things, I'm giving my tithe and my offering, I'm preaching, I'm ministering I'm going to the street I'm feeding the homeless, I'm doing all of those things, but I really don't know who I am.” This is where the part of quoting scripture is very important and personal when you claim the I Am statements into your atmosphere. I've had people tell me, or have heard it in conversation, that using I Am statements is pretty much taking God out of the equation, and I'm like, “No, it's not... How is it taking God out of the equation? If you're quoting scripture over your body, over your mind, over your Spirit?”We’ve got to remember that the word of God is living, and it is promise. So, when He says, “They overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony”, then we in fact can make that personal, because we are they! And when we begin to comprehend and absorb what God has promised us, then we will activate the belief and the truth that the God that lives in Jesus, is the God that lives in us! He is the Great I Am and makes us great to be able to persevere and overcome the challenges that are set before us!Christ didn’t only come to give us eternal life, but He came to give us power to withstand the things on earth as well! Yes, for redemption, but He also rose from the grave, to show us that we have power and that's where so many of us miss it in Christianity, right? We allow any little thing to distract us from the promises of God. We don't want to get organized; we don't want to be structured; we don't want to listen to anybody because we forget who we are.Now some of you out there may be saying to yourself, “That doesn't even make sense, that you don't want to listen to nobody because you don't know who you are?” Here’s what we need to come to understand, when a person doesn't know who they are, they're going to cast off restraint. Because if I know who I am, there's a certain humility that I must have, there's a certain humbleness that I must carry, and there's a certain character that I must strive for. There's an integrity. And so when you push those things off when you're being corrected or you're being convicted by the Holy Spirit, what you're really saying is, “that's not who I am, I'm going to do whatever I want to do because this is the pattern that I've always been used to.” But see, when you come to Christ, there's a radical change, there ought to be a change in your spirit, a change in your mind, a change in the way you do things. Now, don't get me wrong, we all fail, we all have some things that come out of our mouths that probably shouldn't come out. We all have some gossip that takes place, we all have something to say about something, we have all those things that we say and do every single day, but when we come back to the word of God and say, "You know what, by God's grace and His mercy, I'm able to do all things through Christ to strengthen me, and I Am able to overcome I Am able to trample over serpents and snakes. I Am able to give rather than receive, I Am able to push forth, I Am able to persevere, I Am able to do all these things through Christ who strengthens me because that's what his word says in Philippians. 4-13. So when we look at our life and we wake up and we go to work every single day, whether it be our business, our jobs, or whatever we're doing, we may be grudgeful and say things like, “Oh my God, I got go to work, I got to go into the office, my largest customers are going to drive me nuts, this business deal that I'm working on. Oh my God, even though you feel that way, don’t speak the negative thing, speak life! God told Moses Speak to the rock to bring forth water! So speak to your situation! So, let's turn that mindset around and say something like, "You know what, this business deal is going to go good!God's will be going to be done!God knows my heart! When you have communion with God, your prayer begins to sound something like this… “Father, I put it before you that this business deal go good, because I need to be able to pay my bills, I need to be able to give more, I want to give more to the kingdom!” God will take your desires and put traction to them.It is time to change your circumstances, by changing your mind. And so, shame on us when we don't walk in the victory and we don't walk in the identity that God has given us that Christ died for. We're ambassadors of Christ we are representatives of the Holy Ghost, we are representatives of God's kingdom, we are representatives of Jehovah and representatives of Jesus. So, when you speak out those I Am statements and you say, "You know what, I am a godly man, I am a good house keeper, I am a good business owner, you're activating God because God is now saying, “now he gets... Now he understands because as I live in him, I gave him power to be able to overcome even those obstacles, even though those circumstances may appear, even though the breakup might have happened, even though the divorce came out of left stage, even though the death came upon your life, even though all of these things happened, I know that this child of mine knows the power that he has to be able to overcome and get to those places.”That's what I got this morning, guys, I just want you to understand that you have the power to change your mind!
