A Sunday morning sermon by Pastor David Singh.Easter is the most important event. Easter is not just about Jesus being the only person to rise from the dead. This is God establishing his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Easter is a demonstration of God’s control and authority over satan, evil and sin. Easter is a demonstration for all creation that Jesus is the victor. This is not just about the Jewish people who were chosen by God to reveal Jesus. It is about all humanity, which includes every people and tribe and nation. Easter is a demonstration that men and women are equal in the sight of God. Any person that the demonic powers had tried to control and make unclean, Jesus makes them clean and holy. This is why he chooses Mary Magdalene from whom seven spirits had been cast out as the one worthy to proclaim to all humanity that Jesus is alive. No longer does evil have free reign. Jesus has put satan on a leash and has muzzled him. In Jesus the risen Son of God we see the victory of goodness over evil. Easter is the promise that there will be no more satan, sin, sickness, sorrow or death. He is Risen!
