A Sunday morning sermon by Pastor David Singh.“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy, and her people to be a gladness" (Isaiah 65:17-18).Isaiah prophesies that the new creation is a radical shift which will completely alter all our cultural and religious ways. He invites us to take a fresh look at the change in the heavens and the earth. Key to this passage is that the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. Our very memory and our understanding of how God has worked among us will shift radically. The very history of how God has dealt with us changes. The Cross and Resurrection call us into gladness, rejoicing and joy. This is not just a personal, cultural or religious change. Our view of the world will need to change. Easter is an empty tomb that reminds us that Jesus has already gone before us into the world. Lord Jesus teach us to meet you where you are going!
