A testimony shared by Kristin DuMont during a Sunday morning worship service.I just came back from a conference that was focused on prophecy. Prophecy at its core is bearing witness to what you have seen and heard from God. I have often repeated that we are called not only to be a priesthood of all believers but also a prophethood of all believers. The gathered community is--by its very nature--prophetic. Our experience of God becomes a powerful witness to the presence of God. Testimony is powerful not because it is a personal story, but because the person has been captivated and changed by God. The community bears witness, and there is a genuineness to what they are saying about the life they are living.This Sunday we will hear testimonies and it is our prayer that each testimony will be prophetic, and we can all hear the call of God over our lives. Come Lord Jesus baptize us with fire and the Holy Spirit!
