Education

This is Episode 58 of the VulnerABLE Podcast! She's been faced with teasing, overcoming perfectionism, as well as dealing with her introversion. Now she's using her passions for art and songwriting to create unique art pieces that promote happiness! Her very first experience of vulnerability was at the playground, when she fell off the monkey bars and began crying, and another kid came over and laughed at her. It felt so uncomfortable that she ended up making something up, saying she had allergies to avoid the shame. Then years later when attending a meditation retreat, she found herself trying to hard and not truly experiencing it due to her perfectionism. Until she was called out by one of the teachers, and began to relax a bit. Surprisingly she would throw herself into vulnerability career wise, as she chose to become a journalist, despite being an introvert and having a hard time interviewing people. There would be more challenges to face throughout her life, but she’s found a way to learn from everything she’s faced. Now she’s using her passion for art and songwriting to create art pieces that inspire happiness and gratitude through her company Smile Songs.
