In this episode, I share an incredible conversation with Janet Cruz Padrón, the founder of Latina Money, a financial empowerment platform designed to ignite + fuel wealth creation for the modern Latina woman.   Janet believes in the massive power that “talking money” can have in positively transforming and elevating cultures and communities. By fusing media, technology and storytelling, Latina Money is empowering modern women to lift the taboo and harness the tremendous power of money in order to write and rewrite cultural narratives.   As the host and voice behind the Latina Money podcast, Janet now talks money + wealth with successful entrepreneurs, amazing creatives, and industry elites to share exclusive insider tips, wisdom + actionable tips all modern women can use to build wealth and create smart and savvy income.   As a millennial Latina influencer, podcaster, and financial educator, what Janet is most proud of is her diverse and highly engaged community of change makers that are exploring distinct ways to more efficiently engage with their money in order to build lives they can be proud of, whilst giving, living, and serving their communities in more profound and impactful ways.   In today’s podcast, Janet shares her experience as a first generation daughter of Mexican parents living in America, and the consequences about limiting beliefs around money. After a series of passionate conversations about their own financial experiences as both Latinas and women, Janet could see that there needed to be a support system to help women change their mindset around finances. This was the birth of Latina Money.   Janet shares how women are ingrained with limiting beliefs around money and finances from an early age. The fact is, finance is still very much a men’s game. The conditioning and childhood programming that women have limits around what we can earn and achieve keeps us playing small.   “It's a problem we all face across the board. It’s a challenge for all women due to the way we were raised. We weren’t taught about finances at home, it's not typically feminine, finance is a male dominated sector, the jargon is complicated, we are taught that finance is complicated, we have fear about confronting numbers,” Janet says.   We have all heard those limiting beliefs such as money is out of reach and that money doesn't grow on trees. It’s this stinking thinking around money that can hold us back from all of the magic.   “If we can change the programming and start unlocking those doors, we can really blossom. The tiniest tweaks in your financial life can make such huge differences in your overall life,” she says.   “My mission is to be known for supporting other women to live a life that they choose, not to just settle for the life they have. We all go through similar challenges and when we fall into that pit where we think this is the best life is going to get, we can reclaim the power and decide to choose better for ourselves.”   Listen as Janet shares how she believes that taking care of your finances is a part of self- love. Financial self love is about building that solid financial foundation for ourselves that fuels internal peace, self love, self worth and care. Enjoy this special message from Janet and learn how you too can do the same for you and your loved ones.   Lastly, to find out more about my ‘Millionairess Business & Financial Independence course for entrepreneurial women’, my new book in paperback, audio, journals, diaries and wonderful stories of other women, I mentor head to...   www.MillionairessMagazine.com   And until next time...   Be Bold, Be Courageous, Be Fabulous   With Love & Gratitude   Amanda Jane   Editor-In-Chief Millionairess Magazine   Best selling Author, Inspirational Speaker, Entrepreneur, Trained Demartini Method Facilitator, and World leading Financial Independence & Business Success Coach, for women who’d love to release their inner ‘Millionairess’
