52 years and still going strong as a professional actor, David Alder is truly a legend of west end theatre. I met up with him in North London in February 2019  amongst so many great memories on his walls, and we talked growing up working alongside music hall and variety legends like Beryl Reid and Arthur Askey, talking romantic escapades with Anthony Newley to the antics he got up to in Les Miserables' original seasons in London, the joys of She Loves Me, Me and My Girl and Pirates of Penzance, as well as his views on working through the AIDS crisis of the late 1980’s. We also talk appearing in a Ken Loach film alongside Robert Carlyle, his many decades of pantomime, his one man show and sailors in Teignmouth, summer seasons in Bournemouth and how theatre keeps him young!Thankyou for all your feedback so far - please tell a friend and subscribe for free on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or Spotify. With thanks to Eitan Epstein Music/Audio Jungle (Theme Music), Stagey Pagey (Artwork) and Buzzsprout (Podcast Host).
