This is Episode 74 of the VulnerABLE Podcast! She grew up with parents who survived the holocaust, and would lose her mother in her teens, she's faced her share of trauma and loss. Now she's helping people work on their physical pain and find more joy! Both her parents survived the holocaust, but growing up she didn’t exactly understand the pain and trauma her parents carried. Reflecting back she carries a lot of guilt for some of the ways she acted, and took things for granted. At 12 years old her mother would be diagnosed with breast cancer, and at that time it was something that wasn’t as understood and people carried a lot of shame towards it. She would lose her mother about 5 years later, which brought a whole new set of challenges to her life. Throughout her late teens and early 20s she endured multiple sexual assaults, and would hold onto that pain in fear of judgement from others. The only thing she can attribute to helping her through it all is something she learned from her mother, grit. Now as a physical therapist, and dancer she’s helping people of all ages overcome their pain, and find more joy in their lives.
