The Boiz are back, just as you’ve always known them and going by that one name you’ve always called them!Thanks to a listener suggestion, this week is one full of not-quite-vampires, and their amazing similarities across cultures! After a positively thrilling update from the show’s official Field Correspondent, Jake starts with the Aswang, one of several billion terrifying mythological creatures to come out of the Philippines. Although both Jake and Wyatt learn that they had totally the wrong idea about what the Aswang is, they are able to at least continue to be creeped out by that damned tongue. So I guess fetuses are safe for now?Wyatt then turns to Romania, not for your standard Transylvanian fare, but instead for some background on the strigoi, a pre-vampire with far more complicated rules and apparently much more involved methods of disposal.
