Nepal’s lockdown has probably been even tougher than the one India’s going through, and that’s saying something. Now, amongst all the volunteers and NGOs and organisations that have hit the ground to do all they can to help and support those who need it the most, there’s Metal For Nepal. This is a not for profit organization which aims to bring the global metal and arts community together to tackle the humanitarian crisis caused by Covid-19. Anyone can help their cause - visit metalfornepal.org for more details. All of this largely, is a brainchild of the members and friends of the band Underside, who hail from Kathmandu, Nepal. On Horns Up, Peter and Animesh are talking to Underside’s frontman, Avishek KC - about Metal For Nepal, metal in Nepal, all things underside, and we’ve also asked him to play DJ and showcase some of the metal that Nepal is producing.Useful Links:Metal For Nepal - https://www.metalfornepal.org/Underside - https://www.facebook.com/TheUnderside/Albatross - http://albatross.com.np/Chakachak - https://www.instagram.com/chakachakofficial/Disorder - https://disorder3.bandcamp.comNeck Deep In Filth - https://neckdeepinfilth.bandcamp.com/Nude Terror - https://nudeterrornepal.bandcamp.com/Strangle - https://strangle1.bandcamp.comUgra Karma - https://ugrakarma.bandcamp.com/Catch up with Peter and Animesh at www.hornsuppod.comSubscribe to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, or add the RSS feed to your preferred podcast player.
