Ez interviews Trent Griffiths, communications and operations manager, and Arie Rain Glorie, program director and curator of Testing Grounds. Trent started out studying a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and a Graduate Certificate for Film and Video in Sydney. He later came over to Melbourne to study Screenwriting at RMIT, which helped him land his writing job on Neighbours. He's since worked as a lecturer for Media and Communications, and is currently the communications and operations manager of Testing Grounds. Arie is a visual artist and curator, but started his journey studying a Bachelor of Fine Art (Hons) at RMIT. As a curator, he's worked with a range of emerging and mid-career artists, both at home and on the international stage. After his term as assistant curator for the Gertrude Street Projection Festival (2016), he started working alongside Trent as the program director and curator of Testing Grounds. On side A of this ezpisode... 1. Ez's bad, bad, not good day 2. Arie's TED Talk - "Arie Rain Glorie Reads Gary Larson's, The Far Side" and "The Subculture of Young People Who Like to Throw Slurpees // Modern-Day Cries Against Capitalism" 3. Trent's TED Talk - "Leaning in to Being a Generalist" and "Fantasy Basketball" 4. Trent and Arie speak about starting out, forming a career in the arts, defining the term "curator" and what their work at Testing Grounds involves.  Part 2 will be coming out soon, where we delve into what exactly is Testing Grounds and how you, a budding creative, can get involved/your work exhibited.
