When we talk purpose, the one thing we have forgotten about is the BALANCE! Oh my, it's such a needed thing. If you don't have balance, it's hard to stay focused on your purpose! This week, we'll have Samantha Edu coming on to talk with us about the importance of finding balance while walking in your purpose. In 2012, Mrs. Edu’s passion for educating women on the reality of mental health was ignited by the women that she came across on a daily basis. She started speaking to women as The Lady and Her Hats. The Lady and Her Hats is a tribute to women that “wear a lot of hats.” Every woman that we meet is a Hat Lady, which means she can be reached out to and educated on the realities of mental health issues. The Lady and Her Hats has set out on a mission to be an open book of the issues that have been ignored for generations by doing speaking engagements, educational social media, and workshops.Despite her many hats, Samantha’s passion will forever lie in providing traditional individual counseling in nontraditional ways. Counseling should not feel like a punishment, it should be a unique relationship between counselor and client aiming to promote the client on their journey towards healing and positive change.
