The 2 types of power: Personal Power and Societal Power.Power is talked about in a way that is designed to keep it concentrated in the hands of the few. But this is not as simple as it seems. Whenever we try to do something (express our personal power) we meet with obstacles (societal power) that seem to want us to fail or stop what we are doing. Often we are encouraged to focus on one kind of power or the other. We will be told that everything in life has to do with our own personal responsibility, or we will be told that the society we live in is the real determining factor. In reality it is impossible to truly act from your own power- in fact every time you act from your own power you will immediately be met with opposition from societal power!
