Hi everyone. I hope you're keeping safe, healthy, and hanging in there. Sending love your way and my thoughts are with you.----Reports of violence against Asian Americans have dramatically increased since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. There has been little action and conversation around Stop Asian Hate and there needs to be a discussion on how to improve reporting of hate crimes and expand resources for victims. Being a credible resource in the beauty industry, Sarah Y. Wu has the gift of words and has been one of the empowering voice of what the AAPI community has been feeling. In this episode, we discuss AAPI issues that we see in the beauty industry and explore ideas and solutions on how to be better, unlearn, and continue learning. Backed by a decade of experience in the industry, Sarah is a beauty editor, copywriter, consultant, and Forbes' Senior Contributor. She helps clients with their editorial creative direction, improve brand DNA, and build consumer engagement. During her stint at Teen Vogue as the Beauty Features Editor, she helped introduce the brand's annual Acne Awards franchise and launched the publication's first-ever Asian Pacific American Heritage Month package. FOLLOW SARAH Y.
