In sports or in life, success starts with having a winning habit, which includes both mental and physical preparation. While the physical skills you learned from training will be indispensable for the big game, the mental strength to make the decision whether to keep going or quit will determine your success as an individual and the success of your team.   In today's ACCESS Points Podcast, Tim talks with his good friend, Byron Jones, about how mental strength transcends physical challenges. It's going to be two minutes before a half or two minutes at the end of the game where you need to make a big play or you need to stop a big play from happening. And you're absolutely exhausted. Your legs are tired, your back is tight, and your knees hurt. But what type of person are you when those tough moments come up?" - Byron Jones   "Being in a national football league, playing college football was never a dream of mine. I was just kind of your average kid just living life floating along academically. But I was gifted and blessed with long, strong legs that can make me jump higher than most kids." - Bryon Jones   "I think it's important for people to learn to be good at things you may not necessarily want to do. But for an end goal, that is absolutely necessary for you to actually get there." - Bryon Jones   "You're not going to be good for the team if you're not going to be good for yourself. Understanding that you have a job to do, do it at your best ability and it will fit together with the team. And understanding that you're doing your job to the best of your ability will have success for the team. And also oftentimes team's success breeds individual success too." - Bryon Jones   "Sometimes I do meditation, just supply my mind and understand the importance of just acting at the moment and not thinking about what happened before and not trying to predict what's going to happen in the future." - Bryon Jones   "Investing in private equity is about the team. Who is the team behind the idea and how passionate are you about the ideas." - Bryon Jones   "Reading gives you a chance to learn from some of the most successful people in different industries in the world. You can access their mind, their thought process, their success, or failures through reading." - Bryon Jones   Visit Access EFM: Website Facebook LinkedIn Twitter   Click here to listen with Access Points Podcast
