In 2002, Dee's sister Juli was murdered by her estranged husband in front of her two young children. This senseless act of domestic violence left Dee changed forever. She knew that she had to do something. In April of 2019 - on her Juli's birthday - Dee hit the trail to hike across America and spread the word about domestic violence awareness.
