Erik Neilson continues our chapel theme "Good News" this year. He shares connections from Deut. 5 and Mt. 15:1-11 through facts about Pharisees. He relates these facts to the modern-day Pharisee. Who are the modern-day Pharisees? Listen to find out! Erik is the pastor at High Plains Christian Church. He has been married to Laura for 26 years and has two grown children. In his spare time, Erik likes hiking, hunting, fishing, college football, and working out! He graduated from Ozark Christian University for his undergrad and Hope International University for graduate work. In 2002, the Neilson family planted Adventure Christian Church in McMinnville, OR. Sensing God's call again they're moving to Twin Falls, ID to start a brand new church. The theme for the 2020-21 year is Good News. The Greek word that is translated as “gospel” is εὐαγγέλιον (euangelion), or literally “good news.” It is a word that is used diversely in scripture. Professors, students, and guests dissect the various ways in which the "gospel" is referenced and played out in Scripture. Learn more about Boise Bible College at www.boisebible.edu.
