Disclaimer: this is NOT a comedy episode. This week, many people across UK got some very bad news. After 5 weeks of waiting to get paid by the government, they've been told by their employer that the furlough is not coming. I was one of them. My contract with current employer started on 24th September 2019, and ended on 31st March 2020. According to Law, everyone who was on company's payroll on 19th March is eligible to be furloughed. I was told otherwise by my employer. Being forced to take a 20% cut in income is already enough of a sacrifice and compromise.Being denied 100% of promised money is not an option. Double standards, incompetence, or both? How is the furlough scheme funded? I will not let go without a fight.
