* Attention all Texas voters abroad!* On March 3, 2020, the Lone Star State will hold its Democratic primary. Among the several candidates battling it out to be the Democratic nominee is Chris Bell (https://www.electchrisbell.com/), a former U.S. representative looking to unseat the incumbent Republican senator. Mark your calendars! Chris spoke to us on the topics of gun violence, immigration, and touched on his experience having previously served in Congress. Have a listen to our interview with Chris to hear more of his thoughts on the issues. And although we're still months out from this important race, we encourage all Texans living abroad to become educated on the several candidates and to make sure they request their absentee ballots in a timely manner (https://www.votefromabroad.org/).   "This whole talk about building a wall is completely ridiculous. If you create a 30-foot wall, you'll only create a market for 32-foot ladders." -- Chris Bell, candidate for U.S. Senate from Texas. *Note: As the Democrats Abroad Hispanic Caucus is part of the Democratic Party, it does not formally endorse a candidate before a Democratic primary has occurred when there is more than one Democratic candidate running for the same seat. As such, we have invited all Democratic candidates running for this U.S. Senate seat to speak with us on our podcast to inform Texas' absentee voters about themselves and their campaigns. Not all candidates have responded to the invitation. We are grateful to hear directly from Mr. Bell and the other Democratic candidates who have accepted our invitation. Hispanic Caucus participants in this episode: Lori Smith (Mexico) and Michael Ramos (Australia). Postcast music provided by Carlos Colao (Spain).
