It seems that recently we have been in the mood for Sauvignon Blanc. Perhaps it is the fact that we live in a part of the country where the thermometer can still be found north of 95 degrees. Another possibility is that there are many delicious expressions of this grape to be found all over the world. Whatever the reason (and there doesn’t have to be a reason, anyway), we found ourselves creating a listener poll with the choices being two Sauvignon blancs from South Africa. This episode features the winner, the House of Mandela Thembu Tribute Sauvignon Blanc. The intention of the House of Mandela is to showcase the best of what South Africa has to offer. Their wines are separated into three categories and they have wines made from other varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chenin Blanc. What did we think? What do you think?
