Receiving can be difficult because it means we need to be open - to trust because we don’t get to pick the who, when, where and how something is going to come through. However, giving is usually much easier for people. Why? Because giving implies a sense of control (which most people like!), as we get to pick the who, when, where and how something is going to come through. Giving is masculine energy and what our world promotes, encourages and celebrates. While receiving is feminine energy and can be harder to do.
