“I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethen, you did it to Me” Matthew 25:36 & 40, NKJV. It’s a blessing to see that Jesus directly addressed people in prison in scripture. He loves those in jail so deeply that He acquainted Himself with them. Jesus puts himself in their place. He says whatever you do to the least of these, you have done it to me. When you visit them, you’re visiting Me. When you take the time to write them a letter, you are taking the time to write me a letter. It’s as if He’s there in the jail cells and when we support them, we support him. We’re helpers of God to do a mighty work in their lives. With everything going on in the world, it can be easy to forget about this labor of love and forget about the imprisoned. In His eternal word, He didn’t forget about them, neither should we. In verse 37-46, Jesus gives a hard truth and shows that He sees the heart of the believer that doesn’t help the needy, visit the sick and those in prison. Search your heart about visiting and ministering to the imprisoned and detention centers. Know that whatever we do for them, we do it to Jesus Christ. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/christian-rider-ministry/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/christian-rider-ministry/support
