We can misunderstand and misapply Scripture when we forget the hermeneutical maxim- -A text without a context is a pretext.- Every portion of Scripture must be understood in light of its immediate context. Tonight, we will study Psalm 12 in such a way, since it is one of the passages that has been widely mishandled by numerous well-meaning Christians.
