October is Pit Bull Awareness Month and October 25th is National Pit Bull Awareness Day. While there have been substantial gains in the understanding and empathy for dogs classified as "pit bulls," there are still 27 states in the US that have bans or restrictions against this and other dog breeds. Drayton and Kim discuss the state of the pit bull movement and the prejudice in the media against this breed. They define what a pit bull actually is, concerns of the general public, genetics, and where we can go from here.
