What does your bank account say about the condition of your soul and what you love? Our world might say, “who needs God’s grace when you’ve got a pile of cash?” We live in a world where everything is given a cash value, even relationships, and meaning and purpose--things that are priceless. Time is money, you might even hear. Making money a master is really bad news for so many and does incredible damage to us, our world, and others. It is a wonderful tool, but that’s all that it is. The love of money wants more out of wealth than it really is, and the desire for more of it actually shapes us into certain kinds of people.
