There is a constant battle being waged within us between the Spirit and our flesh. Sin is a very present reality in the life of the believer. We are exhorted to put to death the deeds of the flesh and to not make provision for them. We are empowered by the Spirit to do this. We are reminded we have received the Spirit of adoption as children of God and fellow heirs with Christ.
